Karst Landforms and Development Vitality in Southwest China

Southwest China is known for its large-scale, concentrated and continuous karst landscapes, which have different causes and characteristics that set the background for development. Under the development strategy of " Eco-civilization & Rural Revitalization", Southwest China karst areas should seize new development opportunities. Based on the principle of adapting to local conditions, karst resources should be fully utilized. It should explore the geological landscape and cultural resources of impoverished townships in karst areas, strengthen the ecological management of rock desertification and cultivation of karst special ecological industries, and improve the contribution of karst carbon sinks to China"s carbon neutrality, etc. Then, a new model of sustainable utilization and development of karst environment could be explored.
