Abstract
The moving cone liner surface of the cone crusher failing during operation in compliance was explored. Its oxidation behavior was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and backscatter electron (BsE) analysis. The experimental results show that the surface layer presents oxides in the form of clusters, lamellas, and stacks, and even a secondary surface oxide layer exists under the outer oxide. These oxides exacerbate the wear level during service process; exploring their source and preventing their production process can improve the anti-wear performance of the liner during actual service process.
