Abstract
Reasonable pillar size of waste rock filling stope is one of the important design parameters to guarantee mining safety and maintain surface stability. Based on theoretical analysis, the dimension design method and experience value for waste rock cemented filling of ore body at the end of Xingshan Iron Mine are put forward. The stability of pillars under the existing stope sequence is analyzed by numerical simulation, and the rationality of the theoretical analysis results is verified. The results show that it is reasonable and feasible to adopt the method of combining theoretical analysis and numerical simulation to carry out the optimization design of the size of the waste rock filling stope. Based on the engineering status of the ore body at the end of Xingshan Iron Mine, the size of the 6.0m waste rock filling pillars designed can meet the actual demand in terms of technology and safety, providing a beneficial reference for the optimization design of pillar parameters in similar mines.
