    Experimental Research on Improving the Replacement Rate of Zinc Powder in a Foreign Gold Min

    • In a foreign gold mine, after the technical transformation from all-sliming cyanidation to sulfur flotation followed by leaching of sulfur flotation concentrate, the replacement rate of zinc powder in pregnant solution was low, resulting in metal loss and poor gold recovery. The grade of pregnant solution was about 1.5~1.8 g/t, which increased by about 27% compared with that in the early stage of technical transformation. By carrying out single-factor tests of sodium cyanide concentration, zinc powder dosage, lead acetate dosage and PH value, optimizing reagent system and increasing the dosage of sodium cyanide and lead acetate, the replacement rate of gold operation is stabilized at more than 99.0%, the gold grade of barren solution is reduced to less than 0.015 ppm, and the gold content in water taken away by tailings is reduced, which completely solves the problem of metal loss caused by low replacement rate. And that technical index of the zinc power replacement operation is ensured.
