Research on 5G distributed MIMO networking technology in coal mines

    • According to the safety and explosion-proof requirements of coal mines, the RF transmit power of antennas is strictly limited, resulting in a significantly higher deployment density of 5G base stations in coal mines than in ground scenarios. In order to solve the problem of cross coverage caused by this, this paper proposes a 5G distributed MIMO networking technology for coal mines, which uses antennas distributed in different locations to realize joint and parallel transmission of user data, which not only avoids negative effects such as ping-pong handover caused by cross coverage. It also improves the signal coverage effect in the edge area. In the 300-meter coal mining face of Ulan Mulun Coal Mine, the distributed MIMO networking technology is used to realize the borderless coverage of 5G signals, and the uplink rate is not less than 500Mbps, which ensures the real-time and effective transmission of coal machine data.
