Abstract
At present, coal mine gas excess occurs from time to time in China, and there is still a big gap to achieve the goal of “zero excess”. In order to prevent and control gas excess more effectively, 124 gas excess accidents from three coal mines with different technical conditions in Jincheng, Fengfeng and Shuicheng are statistically analyzed from three aspects which location, month and time. It is found that the time-space distribution of gas excess in each mine is similar, most of gas excess occur in mining face, heading face, drilling field and gas drainage roadway, and it is easy to occur in two time periods of 0:00-1:00 and 14:00-15:00 in the day. The causes of gas excess accidents are counted and analyzed for the places where gas overrun is prone to occur, such as tunneling face, mining face, drilling site and other places. On this basis, seven preventive measures for gas excess accidents are put forward, including strengthening gas extraction, ventilation management, geological exploration, mining operations management, gas excess management during structural belt and roof pressure, gas excess early warning, and personnel training. It provides a basis and reference for the prevention and control of coal mine gas excess.
