Identification and classification of disaster-causing factors of the shaft and roadway in non-coal underground infrastructure mines

    • The National Mine Safety Administration issued a notice in 2022 to include the general survey and treatment of hidden disaster-causing factors in non-coal underground mines into the major inspection of safety production in non-coal mines. One of the key inspection contents is the general survey and treatment of goafs and surrounding old mines. The Kunyang Phosphate No.2 Mine is currently a non-coal underground infrastructure mine, and there is no underground goaf. Therefore, according to the attribute characteristics of infrastructure mines, The disaster-causing factors of the shaft and roadway shall be the focus of the general survey and treatment. By consulting a large number of documents and relevant regulations, and according to the geological, hydrological and mining technical conditions on the site, the factors that may lead to hidden disasters in the shaft and roadway are sorted and identified. The results show that there may be three kinds of disasters in the stage of mine infrastructure, such as shaft instability failure, water inrush, and poor ventilation caused by imperfect ventilation system of infrastructure, and 13 kinds of disaster causing factors are summarized for identification and qualitative description of risk levels. According to the results of identification and classification of disaster-causing factors in shafts and roadways, the mine carries out a survey and management work, carries out qualitative characterization of the risk levels of disaster-causing factors identified, assesses the risk of mine accidents, and promotes the implementation and improvement of mine management measures in a more targeted manner. The results can effectively prevent and resolve major safety risks in non-coal underground infrastructure mines and curb the occurrence of major accidents.
