In response to the problem of resin poisoning in the hydrometallurgy process of a certain uranium deposit, through the analysis of the chemical composition of the leaching solution and the characterization of toxic resin pollutants,it is proposed that the pollutants affecting the resin adsorption capacity are Si,organic matter, and metal colloidal deposits such as Fe,Al,Ca.On this basis, regeneration experiments are conducted on toxic resins using acids, alkalis, complexing agents, oxidizing agents. The research results show that acidic regeneration solution is beneficial for the desorption of metal colloidal deposits.Alkaline regeneration solution is beneficial for the dissolution of Si and organic matter.Adding 0.1% citric acid to hydrochloric acid can significantly improve the desorption effect of Fe,Al,Ca,and Si.Oxidants such as H2O2 and NaClO can degrade the macromolecular organic matter adsorbed on the resin, which is beneficial for the elution of organic matter.Based on the results of resin regeneration experiments,a resin regeneration plan can be optimized which 10% HCl+0.1% citric acid is used for acid regeneration of the poisoned resin, and then 1% NaClO is used for deep regeneration of the resin. The regenerated resin using this scheme can effectively remove pollutants from the resin and achieve effective resin regeneration. The recovery rate of resin adsorption capacity reaches 99.6%,and the saturated adsorption capacity of the regenerated resin is 96.74 mg/mL.The resin is subjected to dynamic adsorption evaluation tests on the regenerated resin in the uranium hydrometallurgy workshop of the plant. The test is running well until the adsorption is saturated, and the resin's uranium adsorption capacity could reach 96.50 mg/mL.
