    Experimental study on improving the leaching rate of a gold ore by high-pressure roller mill

    • High-pressure roller mills are widely used in iron ore and other industries,which can effectively achieve more crushing and less grinding.With the continuous expansion of application fields,it has gradually expanded to gold mines in recent years.The research object of this paper is low-grade gold ore from foreign mines,the Rockwell hardness coefficient is 5.5,pyrite gold inclusions account for 22.1%,poor leachability,low recovery,is a difficult beneficiation type.By introducing a high-pressure roller mill for crushing,the particle size composition of the ore is changed,the fine particle size content is improved,the degree of decomposition and separation of useful components is improved,and the gold immersion environment is optimized.In the case of ore crushing particle size of -10 mm,compared with traditional jaw crushing,the proportion of -0.5 mm particle size in high-pressure roller grinding products is increased by 8.84%-16.37%,the leaching rate increased by 0.94%-5.24%.Also investigated the relationship between pressure parameters and leaching rates in high-pressure roller mills.Under the test conditions,the roll pressure is positively correlated with the ore leaching rate,and increasing the roll pressure can improve the leaching rate.For test ore,when the roll pressure increased from 3 MPa to 9 MPa,the ore leaching rate increased by 4.30%.In production practice,the crushing roller pressure parameter in the high-pressure roller mill can be set to 9 MPa.
