Abstract
Guizhou’s unique geographical location contains rich phosphate ore types. Mineral resources are consumed day by day, and the influence of poor grade on the production of wet-process phosphoric acid is becoming more and more serious. In order to improve the mineral processing technology, a special mineral processing method is developed for phosphate ores in this area. The process mineralogy of a mixed collophanite in Fuquan, Guizhou Province is studied by means of X-ray diffraction analysis, polarizing microscope, scanning electron microscope, energy spectrometer, chemical analysis and so on. The results show that the P2O5 grade of the phosphate ore is 26.16%, CaO/P2O5=1.54, and the industrial type of phosphate ore in this area is mixed type and mineral processing grade. The main minerals are fluoroapatite, dolomite, quartz, chalcedony, potash feldspar, albite, pyrite and clay. The MgO 90.32% to be removed from mixed collophane occurs in carbonate minerals, the SiO2 56.39% to be removed occurs in quartz and feldspar-clay minerals, the Fe2O3 79.21% to be removed occurs in iron-carbon minerals, and the Al2O3 44.61% to be removed occurs in carbonate minerals and feldspar-clay minerals. The distribution of harmful elements in each mineral is found out, and the study of monomer dissociation degree has a certain guiding significance for the mineral processing production.
