Geochemical characteristics of the Songmuzhuang iron deposit in Eastern Hebei Province and its geological significance

    • Sedimentary metamorphic iron ore is the most important type of iron ore in eastern Hebei Province, and the Songmuzhuang iron deposit is a typical representative of this type. In this work, major elements, trace elements and rare earth elements are tested to restore the ore-forming environment of Songmuzhuang iron mine and analyze its mineral sources. The results show that the main components of this type of iron ore are TFe2O3 and SiO2, and a small amount of terrigenous clastic rock is added, and the ore-forming material comes from the mixture of hot water and seawater.
