Application of comprehensive geophysical prospecting in lead-zinc prospecting in Zhugongtang Area, Northwest Guizhou

Abstract
Zhugongtang Area is located in the lead-zinc ore concentration area in Northwest Guizhou, with complex geological structure and great prospecting, which is limited by topography and exploration technology and low research degree seriously restricts the lead-zinc ore exploration work. Induced polarization method and controllable source audio frequency magnetotelluric survey(CSAMT) are carried out in the study area in order to find out the favorable metallogenic area of lead-zinc mineralization prediction in Zhugongtang Area. The induced polarization anomaly is delineated, the deep stratigraphic structure and the development of ore-controlling faults are found out, and the comprehensive geophysical anomaly characteristics are combined with regional geological data and physical properties of rocks and ores to guide the deployment of drilling projects and discover concealed lead-zinc ore bodies Finally, it is concluded that the lead-zinc ore body in Zhugongtang Area has the typical characteristics of high polarizability and low resistivity, and the cross-compound position of faults with different dips is the favorable location for the occurrence of lead-zinc ore. This paper provides reference basis and accumulation for the exploration of lead-zinc deposits in Northwest Guizhou.
