Abstract
The humid and hot climate in South China leads to shallow soil layers, weak rock water storage capacity, poor soil quality, and a relatively dry environment in limestone areas. This lack of soil, water, and nutrients is not conducive to the growth of tree roots. Based on this, this study takes a cement limestone mine located in a typical hot and humid climate zone in Guangdong as an example, focusing on analyzing the geological disasters, aquifers, terrain and landscape, and water and soil environmental pollution in the mining area. Additionally, some targeted measures are proposed to strengthen slope stability exploration and monitoring, pay attention to the protection of aquifer damage, and pay attention to the prevention of water and soil environmental pollution.
