Current status and prevention strategies for ground subsidence in Yangcaogou Mining Area, Changchun City

With the development of coal resources, the once hidden with the development of coal resources, the once hidden the earth’s surface have the once hidden treasures and wealth beneath the earth’s surface have been revealed. However, the process of mining is accompanied by severe ground subsidence issues, which have a profound negative impact on land resources and regional economic development. This paper focuses on the Yangcaogou Mining Area in Changchun City, conducting a detailed investigation into its ground subsidence problems. By analyzing the distribution characteristics, development features, and a range of issues caused by the subsidence in this mining area, it systematically dissects the various factors leading to ground subsidence. Based on this, it proposes targeted prevention and control measures such as insisting on policy precedence, strengthening monitoring and early warning, carrying out engineering treatments, and adjusting land use. These serve as a reference for the management of mine geological environments in Yangcaogou and similar mining areas.
