A preliminary study on the construction of physical geological data knowledge base

    • The knowledge base represents an organic integration of two significant current computer technologies: artificial intelligence and databases. Applying the knowledge base to the management and service of physical geological data can provide users with more informational and knowledge-based references when utilizing physical geological data, thereby accelerating the transition towards intelligentized services. This paper first analyzes the practical requirements for constructing a knowledge base for physical geological data, including the development needs of repository institutions, the key elements of resource system construction, and the trend towards socialized services. Subsequently, it explores the fundamental elements for constructing a knowledge base, mainly including resource elements, technological elements, and service elements. Finally, it proposes construction suggestions, including the need to improve the collection of related supplementary materials to prepare a comprehensive and rich repository for the knowledge base construction in advance; to conduct research on the technical methods for collecting and managing supplementary materials, ensuring systematic processing and archiving of collected data; and to establish cooperation mechanisms with relevant entities to strengthen the foundation for information sharing and cooperation.
