Abstract
Underground mining usually causes a certain degree of damage to surface buildings within the scope of mining impact, and its main manifestation is house cracks. However, whether a house produces cracks and the size of cracks depends on many factors such as the building structure, building quality, foundation properties, and the degree of underground mining impact. The causes of damage are very complex and often the result of the combined effect of many factors. Therefore, it is generally difficult to accurately determine the degree and weight of each influencing factor on site. This paper takes a village in Tangshan City as the research background. Based on a comprehensive understanding of the mining situation of underground working faces within a 1 km range of the village and its surroundings, combined with the results of household housing appraisal, the reasons for the damage to buildings in the village are discussed and analyzed, and the boundary of mining impact is delineated. The research results can provide reference and guidance for the division of responsibilities and the repair of buildings damaged by mining.
