Abstract
Petroleum geological data is an important component of geological data in our country, characterized by high acquisition costs, large quantities, and relatively centralized preservation. It has always received significant attention from the state and society and is an important foundational and strategic information resource for the country. As a developed country in Northern Europe, Norway has a high level of management in the collection of petroleum geological data, with a relatively complete management mechanism. This analysis studies the current state of Norway’s management of petroleum geological data collection, starting with an analysis of the management mechanisms and legal regulations, detailing the collection scope, deadlines, methods, and disclosure periods of Norway’s petroleum geological data, and summarizes experiences that can be referenced.
