    Potential and green development model of coalbed methane resources in deep coal mining areas of Xinjiang

    • This paper provides a detailed discussion on the occurrence, distribution, and reserve calculation methods of coalbed methane resources in the deep coalfield areas of Xinjiang. Through analysis, it is found that the geological conditions for the development and utilization of deep coalbed methane are complex, the mining technology is difficult, the environmental protection requirements are high, and the green development mode of deep coalbed methane exists. Elaborate on the problems faced in the development of deep coalbed methane and the green development concepts and technological routes adopted in the development and utilization of deep coalbed methane. Elaborate on the core technologies of greening drilling and completion engineering, increasing production through green mining of deep coalbed methane, coal mine gas extraction, and collaborative mining of coalbed methane. Use the example of the deep coal mining area in Easter of Junggar Basin to derive the technological achievements and economic benefits of deep coalbed methane development. The green development technology achievements of deep coalbed methane obtained from examples are successful, providing scientific basis and corresponding technical support for the green development and utilization of deep coalbed methane in Xinjiang and the whole country.
