Abstract
The Gongchangling iron deposit is a super large iron deposit in the Anben Area, and multiple large, medium, and small iron deposits have been discovered in the surrounding area. The Gaojiagou iron deposit is located on the southwest side of the Gongchangling iron deposit and is a newly discovered medium-sized iron deposit. The Gaojiagou iron ore body is hosted in the Cigou Formation of the Anshan Group in the Neoarchean period. The controlling factor for the deposit is mainly the greenschist facies ferrosilicon formation, and the ore mineral combination is mainly magnetite+chlorite+sericite. The genesis of the deposit belongs to the sedimentary metamorphic iron deposit, namely the “Anshan style” iron deposit. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the geological characteristics, geophysical features, genesis, and prospecting criteria of the ore deposit, including its stratigraphy, structure, magmatic rocks, and magnetic anomalies. It provides a reference for the exploration of similar iron deposits.
