Abstract
Baicheng Central District of Kubai Coal Mine is a highly potential coalbed methane development block in Western China. From its geological characteristics, it is mainly composed of steeply inclined coal reservoirs with a dip angle exceeding 50°, dominated by thermogenic gas, and also has medium high permeability reservoirs. The coal mine innovatively adopts the L-shaped horizontal well non cementing fracturing technology for development, which is more economical. This paper focuses on the study of the geological characteristics of coalbed methane reservoirs in the Baicheng Central District of Kubai Coal Mine. It will give a detailed understanding of the geological characteristics of coalbed methane reservoirs before specific implementation.
