Thoughts on geological data management strategies in the new era

In recent years, there have been profound changes in the management system and operational mechanism of mineral resources in our country. The transfer and registration of mining rights for 14 important strategic minerals have been delegated to local governments, with some minerals managed by municipal and county government departments. Against this backdrop, the current practices in geological data management have not kept pace with the reforms, resulting in new problems such as non-standard collection of geological data for mining rights issued below the provincial level, inadequate management, and lack of regulatory measures. Through studying the current situation and issues in geological data management, specific recommendations are provided for the management strategies of geological data in the context of the delegation of mining rights.
