Theory and application of prediction for ground surface subsidence in solid backfill mining

Factors affecting ground surface subsidence are analyzed in this study after depicting the ground control mechanism in solid backfill mining. And the equivalent mining height theory is proposed to predict the ground surface subsidence. Based on the first backfillface's plan and geology of Dong Ping coal mine, the ground surface subsidence and buildings' breakage are predicted. The results could provide reference value for similar applications.
