Release behavior and its influencing factors of sulfur in coal

The release characteristics and its influencing factors of different raw coals and blended coals have been studied and analyzed.The result shows that coal rank,sulfur content,temperature and blending ratio are the main affecting factors in sulfur release process.The coals of higher rank and sulfur content present a larger amount of sulfur emission and a longer time to reach the emission end.When the ms release/mtotal sulfur ratio is bigger,the sulfur left in coal will be less as the sulfur release rate become larger.It can be observed that the amount of sulfur emission of both the raw coals and blended coals increases as the temperature rising.The release characteristics of sulfur in blended coals are always keeping up with that of raw coals that has a larger proportion.It is also concluded that the obstruction of alkaline components in coal ash is stronger when the(Ca+Mg)/S molar ratio is bigger.
