Quantitative regionalization on mining economic zones in Shandong province

Based on the analysis of the status quo and develop trend of division methods of mining economic zones, 3 parameters such as resource percent, support degree of mining to society and economic, and mining location quotient were adopted to construct the mining economic zone division index system of Shandong province. The mean weighted comprehensive index formula was used as the division model of mining economic zone. Based the comprehensive index value and the characters of superior mineral resources, the mining economic zones of Shandong province were made.
