Study on the structure of copper tailings resources and its comprehensive utilization policy

Resource structure determines the mode of its comprehensive utilization. Currently, the 25% of copper tailings resources in China have economic value for selecting again; the other 75%can’t be selected under the current economy and technology. So, the main mode is used by selecting again or used for mining filling or building material for copper tailings’ comprehensive utilization in the future in China. Being the comprehensive utilization of copper tailings is mainly affected by technology, economy, policy, data and information, and other problems; in order to promote the comprehensive utilization of copper tailings, we suggest to strengthen its prospecting and evaluating, and study related technology, and work out a series of economic policies, and some demonstration projects.
