HOW ABOUT COAL BED METHANE STATUS IN CHINA ENERGY INDUSTRY AND ITS UTILIZATION FOREGROUND

Compared with conventional gas in gradient,Coal bed methane is an unconventional natural gas occurred in coal seam without difference,and important complementarities to conventional gas.There is 22.5×10¹²m³ coal bed methane resource buried shallower than 2000m in china.The people cognized that coal bed methane has a good utilization in mine safety,environment protection and cleat fuel and paid more attention.In many place,coal bed methane exploring activities have spread out rapidly and a large amount of resource have been proved.All of these showed that coal bed methane had a potential productivity.Coal bed methane Exploitation and utilization in some areas will play two important roles.In 2020 the gap between consume and supply will enlarged around 8 and 22 trillion cubic meter,and a new coal bed methane industry which fill up the shortage will emerge.
