Progress and issues of the shale gas exploration and development in China

The exploration and development of shale gas in China is still at primary stage,it is virtual to summarize the experiences and problems to the shale gas substantial development in China.This paper analyzed systematically the progress of the shale gas E&D history,the resource potential assessment,the technical breakthrough,and the problems such as the low degree of geologic survey,lacking suitable technology,new environmental pressure,and the enterprises not participant,the market regulator inadequate,the material opening to public not enough.At last,we proposed suggestions that the government needs to innovate oil and gas management system,build mining right bidding market,strengthen the technology transferring and application,and open the E&D information.
