Industrial engineering is the technique of trans forming modern science and technology intopractical productive forces. Its aims and functions are increasing preductivity, decreasing production cost andraising economic benefits. This paper describes the basic contents and features of industrial engineering, andrelation between it and management engineering; expounds the important significance and broad prospectsof applying the industrial engineering in coal enterprises in consideration of the features of coal enterprisesand existing problems.
