COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL BOND ON RECLAMATION OF MINED LANDS BETWEEN CHINA AND SOME DEVELOPED COUNTRIES

The mining industry is a pillar of national economy.However,mining activities cause a series of mine environmental problems.A set of regulatory regimes for the reclamation of the mined lands and the financial assurance mechanism have been established since 1970s.Serious mine environmental problems have been seen in our country.One of the most important reasons is short of enough fund for the reclamation of mined lands.In this regard,it is urgent for the Chinese Government to develop the system of financial bond for mine reclamation in order to resume the lands disturbed by the mining operations.To the end,the successful experiences on legislation for reclamation of mined lands will be very useful.
