The rock masses stabilization classification and rock bolt parameters optimization in Chambishi copper mine

Abstract
The ore and the rock mass of Chambishi copper mine aare very cracked, the activity of ground pressure is frequent. The rock mass fall easily and the tunnel often destroyed and can not form open stope, those problems effect the production normally carry on. In order to keep the tunnel stability, the paper analyse the rock mass stabilization classification based on the geological investigation, the rock mass stability is in the range of III~Ⅴ based on the national standard for engineering classification of rock masses. The paper also analyse the mechanics of rock bolt by numerical analysis. Through these analyses, the paper optimize the rock bolt support parameters and choice different parameters in the different rock masses.
