Abstract
By the end of 2010, theworld’s crude oil and natural gas proven reserves were 1.38 trillion barrels and 187.1 trillion cubic meters respectively; oil production and consumption were 3.914 billion tons and 4.028 billion tons, the growing rate was considerably slowed; the natural gas production and consumption were 3.19 trillion cubic meters and 387.3 billion cubic meters, continue to grow rapidly. The overall distribution pattern did not change largely, still mainly distributed in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the America. It is estimated that for some time to come, the total oil demand growth will be further slow, natural gas will continue to maintain a rapid growth, but the conflicts between the developed countries to fight and control the oil market will continue, the Asia-Pacific region and new economic entity’ energy security will be more severe.
