Current status and enlightenments of geothermal development in Europe

With the rapid development of geothermal utilization，Europe is playing an important role in global geothermal markets.As government will promote the geothermal energy exploitation and utilization in China，the experiences of the geothermal utilization in Europe have a high reference value for us.In this paper，the current status of the geothermal market and major geothermal energy technologies in Europe are presented，and the actions taken to promote geothermal energy in the EU is also analyzed.In view of the status and existing problems of the geothermal utilization in China，some suggestions are proposed to promote the development of the geothermal energy from different aspects，such as geothermal resource exploration，policy support and industrial alliance.
