APPLICATION OF CHROMATOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS FOR EARLY DETECTING IGNITION IN COAL SEAMS
-
Abstract
In this paper, a combined chromatograph-mass spectrometer is used to qualitively analyse the coal samples from 2402 Coal Seam in No.3 Pit of Nantong Underground Coal Mine and gas components emitted from coal at different temperatures. A gas chromatograph is used to measure the contents of O2, N2, CH4, CO, CO2 and C2H4. It have proved that CO and C2H4 are indicator gases to early detect self ignition of coal seams. The indicator gases are of significance to predict self-ignition of coal in underground mine, and exploit coal safetg.
