THE GRINDING KINETIC BEHAVIORS OF BINARY MIXTURES AND THEIR COMPONENTS

Abstract
The kinetic behaviors of binary mixtures, such as quartz-calcite and quartz-wolframite in grinding mills are examined. The results show that grinding kinetic behaviors of the bulk mixtrue are nonlin ear. However, the kinetic behaviors of their components are linear. There is a zero order production of fine sizes in each of the components of the mixtures. The breakage rate functions of the components follows the relationship: si =axai, α= γ, and the values of α and γ aren't varied with environmental conditions.
