EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON MAGNETIC ROASTING-SEPARATION OF REFRACTORY HEMATITE LIMONITE

In this paper, test of mineral processing were finished on the refractory hematite limonite of Shanxi with iron content about 45%, rate of magnetism(FeO/TFe) about 2.7%. Grindability and technique of mineralogy of this iron ore were described. The major study were put attention on efficiency of magnetic separation at high intensity and reducing roasting-magnetic separation. Tests of reducing roasting-magnetic separation could attained good results as:concentrate iron grade be about to 60%, productivity above 85%, recovery of iron above 90%, iron grade of tails under 15%.
