    Experimental study on sedimentation of coal slime-bearing kaolin

    • Based on the mineral composition and properties of coal slime- bearing kaolin,factors affecting sedimentation have been tested.The results show that coal slime contain a large amounts of clay minerals,finer particles,yield of <0.045mm is 41.50%,ash is 50.35%.Factors affecting sedimentation analyze that coagulants and flocculants have been used in conjunction with APAM and CaCl2,the dosage of is CaCl240kg/t ,APAM is 200g/t,respectively.By adjusting the pH from acidic to alkaline slightly to alkaline conditions,sedimentation velocity of coal slime water accelerate.After adding coagulant,increasing cation concentration,decreasing electric potential,increasing coal slime water hardness,the sedimentation of coal slime-bearing kaolin have been improved
