The inter-application of AutoCAD and MapGIS in the surveying of covering mining resouces

In order to extract accurate data, with the combination of the basic characteristics of AutoCAD and MapGIS, We analyze the characteristics of the two graphics data and the problems which should be paid attention to in the graphics data transforming process in the surveying work of covering mineral resources. The paper elaborates the process and methods in the data transforming process between DXF and DWG graphics format and MPJ graphical format, so that the existing geographic information resources can be utilized adequately and the graphics data can be shared.
