Principle and structure of backfill supports with six props

Abstract
Structure of a new type of chock support used in backfill mining face, is introduced in this paper. In order to ensure the backfill space, this support has a high resistance to decrease roof convergence. And a special tamping part is fixed to raise the compactness of backfill materials. Based on observation of mutual action between support and surrounding rock, a mechanical model is created to calculate the prop and support resistance. In the last, the process of moving supports is depicted, and some advice is given for methods of moving supports in different conditions.
