Lessons of foreign development practices of shale gas for China

America's Shale Revolution has attracted quite an amount of attention worldwide.This paper aims to provide suggestions for China's development of shale gas by analyzing the status quo of the exploration and operation of shale gas in the world.First,this paper emphasizes the strategic value of the shale gas for China's economic development,and then identifies the operational characteristics of shale gas differentiated from the conventional energy.After that,this paper expatiates on the useful practices accumulated and the obstacles faced by typical foreign countries and regions in developing shale gas.This paper is concluded by offering advice on China's development of shale gas.
