In the coming decades, the goal of our country's energy development is to construct a sustainable energy system, of which the important is the petroleum industry development. There are three strategic issues about the petroleum industry development. The first is that the reform about regulation on petroleum should be promoted based on the aspect of perfecting the oil market. The second is that the strategic petroleum reserve and the security of transportation on the sea must be paid attention to based on the aspect of safeguarding Chinese petroleum security. Finally, to make petroleum supply sustainable, we should pay attention to the exploitation of offshore petroleum and international cooperation on petroleum.
