Abstract
Coal bed methane (CBM) is a kind of cheap,clean and high efficiency new type energy,its exploitation and utilization can make up insufficiency of conventional natural gas and fuel oil.But the ground development of CBM has important influenced on environment.Based on the investigation in Shan'xi mining area,it is found that the concentration of the chloride is hundreds times over the standard and,as well as the produced water was stored in a tank without impermeable function,which may caused the contamination goes into the groundwater and influenced drinking water.Chloride was chosen as the forecast factor in simulating the contamination migration and range of groundwater using Visual MODFLOW.The result shows that because the drinking water well is far away from the contamination and the K value of the aquifer is very low,which delays the seepage process of the contaminant,the contamination will not influence the drinking water well.
