    Influence factors of the floatability of a refractory molybdenite and the development of a new stripping machine

    • In this paper,the mineralogical characteristics of a refractory molybdenite containing talc were investigated in detail.Crystal structure,crystallinity and surface oxidation of the molybdenite were analysed by using scanning electron microscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy.The influences of the above factors on its floatability and flotation effect were also discussed.Furthermore,a new stripping machine was made based on the structural characteristics of layered minerals and the influence factors discussed above.It has good exfoliating and grinding effect,not only can keep the laminated structure of molybdenite,but also markedly improve grinding efficiency.The beneficiation effect was obvious when the stripping machine was adopted in the cleaning of this molybdenum.
