RESEARCH ON MINIMUM INDUSTRIAL TENOR OF P₂O₆ IN PHOSPHATE ROCK

In the past, the fixed minimum industrial tenor of P₂O in phosphate rock was 12%, and the cut off grade of P₂O₅ was 8 % in China. In fact, it is difficult or even impossible to develop and utilize a considerable amount of the balanced ore reserves due to the Iower grade indexes. The lower grade indexes also exert a reverse effect to correctly evaluate the situation of apatite ore resoures and to rationally guide the direction of capital investment for geologic exploration. In this paper, the technic feasibility and economic rationality of minimum industrial tenor of P₂O₅ in phosphate rock are discussed, which is important to develop and utilize the rich apatite ore resources and to develop phosphorus chemical industry.
