MAIN AREAS FOR FUTURE MINING RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

In 21 st centenary,the knowledge economy will play important role in the development of mining science and technology.This paper discusses the main areas and tendency for future mining research and development,which are searching for mineral deposits,advance knowlege of mining conditions,better utilisation of mineral deposits,safer and more efficient methods of mining,and environmentally acceptable methods of mineral exploitation,waste minimisation and resource management.
