Research on the development of geological data service in the United States

Along with the rapid social progress,the information development in geological data has made a significant improvement in current years.However,the geological information development in China is too decentralized to satisfy the rapid growth of work involving in resources supplying,environmental protection,project construction and disaster mitigation with such low integration and narrow range of service.Then how to use resources now available efficiently for the benefit of the people has become one of the hot topics in the world.For the purpose of providing reference for the information industry of geological data in China,this paper would introduce the use of geological data in the United State,in particular for their operation mechanism of the geological data.Though analyzing of the mature information system in the US,we could take advantage of the experience from the US in establishment of service mechanism of geological data in China and closing the gap with Western countries in such areas.
