DISPLACEMENT AUTOMATED MONITORING TECHNOLOGY BASED ON GPS FOR OPEN PIT MINE SLOPE

The stability of high slope of open pit mine is an important safe issue which is always concerned about during the operation of the open pit mine.The paper discuss the disadvantages of the traditional slope monitoring methods for open pit mine and the advantages of the new type technology based on GPS,introduces the RTK technology which is one of GPS technology with high precision and suitable for monitoring displacement of open pit mine slope,the automated monitoring system based on GPS and its implemented principles,for the purpose of offering useful references for related study and applications.
