Discussion on the new situation and challenge of China’s mining industry “going out”

Due to various reasons, the industry lacks the system statistics of mining “going out” in recent years.This paper systematically summarizes the projects andattribute interests of China’s overseas mining investment by the end of 2016, and analyzes the basic situation and challenges of China’s mining industry.According to the study:① after years of efforts, China’s mining enterprises have opened up the situation in the world; copper, lithium, cobalt and other minerals have achieved good results; ② however, Compared with China’s international status, the Chinese mining companies still have a big gap in the level of “going out”; ③ the future of China’s mining industry is overseas.While the development of global strategic emerging industries and “Belt and Road” concept provides an opportunity for the Chinese mining companies; ④ among the stock competition, China’s mining companies will have to keep facing the international mining giants, therefore we advise our companies to be vigilant to the “investment overheating” of lithium and to become the “take-overer” risk.
