VENTILATION AND DUST PREVENTION OF BELT-CONVEYOR DECLINE AT OPEN PIT MINE

In view of serious dust polution in belt conveyor decline of open pit iron mine and by taking the Eeast Decline of Dagushan Iron Mine as a sample, this paper emphasizes the importance of mechanical ventilation;describes the effects of continualy supplying fresh air on the dilution and emission of dust laden air flow and on the decrease of relative humidity;analyses the possibility of putting it into practice;and demonstrates that how determine the air flow rate (air quantity) in belt conveyor decline and relation between it and air flow direction.At last, a reconstruction design of ventilation and dust prevention of the East Belt Conveyor Decline is presented.
