    Improved fuzzy synthetic evaluation model of core competence for gold mine companies

    • With the opening up of domestic gold market, the core competence of gold mine companies is being challenged.Exclusive right to the resource cannot guarantee competitive edge.How to evaluate the core competence of gold mine companies and foster it becomes vital for the companies to gain sustained competitive advantages in the market.This study has established an evaluative index system of core competence according to the characteristics of gold mine companies,and conducted evaluation of core competence for gold mine companies,employing the improved fuzzy synthetic evaluation model.This model first avoided the information overlap caused by the fuzziness and complexity of the indexes by the orthogonal transformation.It also adopted entropy method to reduce the subjectivity during the evaluating process.
