Abstract
The social license to operate(SLO) is defined as a social behavior in which local communities and other stakeholders accept or approve a company's operation.In order to get the SLO,a company should work together with local communities and other stakeholders when making big decisions and reach an agreement with them on social,economic,environmental and cultural issues,before and during the operation.In this paper,the definition and content of SLO,as well as its forms and significance in mining industry have been discussed.These discussions lead to the conclusion that the system of SLO is essential for the mining industry in our country,as it can not only encourage green mines construction,but also contribute to the development of our mining industry
